World Environment Day, 2021: Wildlife Protection Division, Kargil organizes various programmes

KARGIL JUNE 05, 2021: In connection with the World Environment Day, 2021, Wildlife Protection Division, Kargil today organized various programmes on the theme Ecosystem Restoration to commemorate the day.

Wildlife PhD scholars from Kargil were invited for a webinar series on various topics while a documentary on wildlife of Ladakh was also presented on the occasion.

The event concluded with the revelation of two new records from Kargil.

Among other participants, the event saw in attendance Otto Pfister, author of pioneer book Birds and Mammals of Ladakh.

Wildlife Warden Kargil, Raza Ali Abidi expressed gratitude to all the participants and scholars for ensuringsharing a common platform for highlighting the rich wildlife of Kargil region.
