Jammu, July 30, 2021: A meeting of the senior members of the Secretariat of JKNPP decided to hold an urgent meeting of the members of the Working Committee and District Presidents of J&K and Ladakh on August 5, 2021 in Jammu NPP Headquarters. It was this day August 5, 2019 when the Govt. of India demolished the 200 years old Statehood of J&K. This State of J&K including Ladakh, Gilgit & Baltistan was founded by first Dogra Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846.

Prof.Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party & Sr. Advocate in Supreme Court of India while addressing the members of Secretariat of JKNPP conveyed virtually and in person that 200 years old State was demolished by Govt. of India through a draconian Resolution passed by the Parliament of India. Prof.Bhim Singh called all other recognized political parties in J&K including National Conference, PDP and others with a strong appeal that all political parties as well as intellectuals, thinkers and NGOs who intend to fight for the return of Statehood of J&K may be pleased to record their protest demanding return of Statehood without fail. NPP also demanded urgent election to the Assembly of J&K so that a people’s government could be set up in J&K to save the interest of the people of J&K from anarchy and corruption as is prevailing at present under bureaucracy rule.
