NPP Supremo’s message to PM Modi at J&K political parties meet in New Delhi
Jammu, June 25, 2021: Prof. Bhim Singh, President, J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) said that Ladakhi representatives should have been present here because Ladakh is also a Union Territory today. Why they were ignored? He expressed it as unfortunate and wondered why Ladakh is ignored in this session?
1. The Instrument of Accession signed by the then Ruler of J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh on October 26, 1947, which was approved by the then Governor-General, Lord Mountbatten has not been approved by the Parliament of India till today. It is highly important that the Lok Sabha should sit in session, debate and approve Instrument of Accession. Though belated, it will genuinely get an opportunity for the Union of India to integrate J&K with the rest of the country by application of Instrument of Accession and continue Indian’s claim to pursue the case India has filed before the United Nations to get back the illegally occupied territories of J&K.
2. Restoration of the Statehood to J&K and Ladakh as it stood on August 5, 2019.
3. Holding fresh elections to the Legislative Assembly of J&K and Ladakh without any delay. To restore democratic process and people’s government which can take over the governance of the State and replace the Governor Rule representing the Central government.
4. Holding delimitation on the Census of 2021 is highly essential so that J&K can also get equal treatment at par with the rest of the States in the country.
5. For any democracy to succeed people’s Will is supreme because it is the people’s government and not the government of the leaders and the bureaucrats. Showing confidence in people’s Will can restore confidence in people.
