MD J&K State Cooperative Bank convenes meeting with ARCS Ladakh, DRCs of Leh, Kargil

Discuss measures for facilitating cashless transactions of sale proceeds of fertilizers by using POS machines, enhancement of cooperative banking services, timely sanctioning of loan cases

KARGIL, JUNE 29, 2021: In order to discuss measures for facilitating cashless transactions of sale proceeds of fertilizers by using POS machines as per the directions of the Secretary Cooperatives UT Ladakh, Managing Director (MD) State Cooperative Bank Qazi Sarwar on Monday convened a meeting with the officers of Cooperative Department Ladakh.

Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies UT Ladakh Dr Muhammad Raza Abbasi, Additional Managing Director State Cooperative Bank Shabana Buchh, Additional Managing Director IT Division, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Leh Dr Muhammad Abbas, Deputy Registrar Kargil Dr Zakir Hussain besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.

During the course of the meeting, the MD State Cooperative Bank assured the officers of Cooperative Department Ladakh that the State J&K Cooperative Bank will extend its full support and help in ensuring the implementation of cashless transactions by providing sufficient number of GPRS enabled PoS machines for both districts Leh and Kargil.

MD Qazi Sarwar further said that in order to resolve the issue of the unavailability of cooperative banking services in the far-flung areas of Ladakh region, Micro ATMs where both deposit and withdrawal of cash can be availed by the users will be introduced by the bank soon.

Meanwhile, the Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies UT Ladakh also took up the matter of timely sanctioning of the loan cases submitted by department, for which the Managing Director State Cooperative Bank directed the Additional Managing Director to take up the cases on priority.
