KP Delegation Calls on Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner J&K
MK Yogi appealed to the Relief Commissioner to promptly address these public issues for the sake of justice and equity, and also urged for conducting public darbars in camps and non-camps for speedy resolution of public grievances.
Jammu, March 30, 2024: A delegation of prominent socio-political activists of Kashmiri Pandits, under the leadership of M.K. Yogi, the senior-most leader of the community, called on the Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner J&K at his office chamber in Jammu to address the genuine problems faced by migrants living in exile.
During the meeting, M.K. Yogi highlighted several issues before the officer in charge, including bifurcation cases, minor additions/deletions in ration cards, relief benefits for deserving migrants, allotment of shops to unemployed youth in Jagti and other camps, problems faced by non-camp migrants, issuance of ration slip coupons, facilitation of filling M forms for migrants living in Jammu and other parts of the country, awareness about parliamentary elections among migrants through advertisement and publicity, and prompt disposal of migrant problems at various Relief Zone offices while streamlining their work culture.

Dr. Arwind Karwani, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, after patiently listening to the delegation, assured them that various immediate concrete steps have already been taken to resolve the genuine problems of migrants, which will yield positive results shortly. He promised that every effort would be made to mitigate the genuine aspirations and problems of the community and mentioned that strategies have been devised for conducting public darbars in camps and non-camps.
M.K. Yogi and Vinod Pandita appreciated the steps taken by the Relief Commissioner for the welfare of migrants and expressed satisfaction with the daily public darbars, ensuring prompt resolution of problems.
