1st UT Level CNE Cum Workshop Organized by Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing

Jammu, March 28, 2024: Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing organized 1st UT Level CNE Cum Workshop on “Emerging Innovative Teaching and Learning strategies in Nursing Education”. Innovations depends on the teacher that how they utilize the instructional strategies while delivering lectures or teaching in clinical and Innovative applications should be on evidence-based practices.

The workshop witnesses a remarkable turnout with good number of participants representing various Government & Private Nursing Institution across Jammu & Kashmir namely BEE ENN, ASCOMS, Stephens, SMVDCON, Govt. Nursing College Gangyal, Govt. Nursing College Rajouri, Govt. AMT School Gandhi Nagar, IPHH, ARSH College, SGL Nursing College, Guru Teg Bahadur College, Baba Ghulam Badshah College, GMC Jammu.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Dignitaries. The commencement of Inaugural Programme accomplished by lamp lighting ceremony and prayer song followed by welcome address delivered by Mrs. Anjana Bavouria Director RGCN. Prof. Rafiqa Bashir Principal RGCN, sparkle the light on achievement of the RGCN Students in academics. Mr. M.S Katoch Chairman RGCN, threw light on aims & objectives of the event. Vote of thanks presented by Mr. Abhimanyu Katoch Managing Director RGCN Distinguished resource persons graced the occasion, offering valuable insights and expertise to all delegates. Pre-Test was conducted before start of the session. Technical Session-I which is delivered by Ms. Nighat Parveen Associate Professor IBN SINA CON, Kashmir on “Current Issues and Emerging Trends in Nursing Education in India”. Session-II was Formulated by Prof. Rafiqa Bashir Principal RGCN on “Concepts of Teaching and Learning”.

Session-III had Proposed by Prof. Johny Kutty Joseph Assistant Prof. SMVDCON, Kakryal on “Innovative Teaching strategies Class Room Teaching v/s Clinical Teaching” and last Session was done by Dr. Rajni Thapa Assistant Professor SMVDCON Kakryal on “Effective Use of Simulation in Teaching”.

The valedictory function was graced as Chief Guest by Dr. Sandeep Singh, Registrar, J&K Nursing Council and honoured the resource persons by giving them mementos & distributed certificates to all delegates. Dr. Sandeep Singh also spoke on the occasion and motivated the college representatives to focus on quality education so as to produce quality nursing professionals. He further added that college must keep on organizing this kind of events to inculcate/disseminate knowledge among the students, he also mentioned that J&K Nursing Council is working tirelessly for the inclusive growth of the student community. At last Post test session had done followed by Feedback.

The programme concluded by the Vote of Thanks presented by Mrs. Sonia Nanda Associate Professor RGCN.
