BJP leader Shailender Vaid distributed Corona Kits among residents of Village Khariyan in Chenani 

Jammu, May 24, 2021: A Senior BJP leader Shailender Vaid,also holding charge of the Additional Secretary Protocol- J&k UT, Monday distributed ‘corona kits’ which included masks and sanitisers among the  rural population in village Khariyan of Chenani tehsil in Udhampur district.  Vaid said the aim behind conducting this special awareness drive was to educate the rural population about the appropriate Covid-19 behaviour to contain the spread of the virus. He appreciated the role of the UT administration in organising awareness campaigns and distributing kits to corona positive patients by tracking them and launching testing and tracing of contacts.

The special drive was conducted as per the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who wanted to ensure that the population in rural India should not be affected and adequate measures were taken in time to prevent the spread of the virus.

Balwan Chand (Ex Mandal Pradhan) & Vijay Kumar Sharma (Ex.Sarpanch of village) were also present there and extended a  helping hand to the villagers and the BJP leader in organising the special drive.

After handing over the Corona Kits to the villagers, Shailender Vaid addressed the local residents in the area and shared his experience about the importance of adopting appropriate covid19 behaviour to  break the chain of the virus.

He also informed the local villagers to remain in touch with health workers and other volunteers in their villages to extend help to any corona positive patient. Vaid said, by remaining alert, adopting social distancing and wearing masks the common people can win this war against Covid-19
