Batwal Association organizes Religious Function in Trimurti Mandir at Garhi
Jammu, March 14, 2021: A religious function was organised in Trimurti Mandir at Village Garhi in which Sarpanch Jyoti Motan, Sarpanch Ram Sharan and a larger number of devotees hailing from different corners participated with great enthusiasm.
Hon’ble District Development Committee (DDC) Chairman Bharat Bhushan who was the Chief Guest on the occasion said , Religion serves several functions. It gives meaning and purpose to life, reinforces social unity and stability, acts as an agent of social control, promotes physchological and physical well-being, and motivates people to work for positive social change.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest felicitated all the Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association members for doing commendable social service to the community with utmost dedication and responsibility for the last many years.
The Chief Guest also felicitated Association’s former general Secretary Mr R.L.Kaith, Dr Ramesh Kaith and distributed trophies to a number of outstanding students.
Earler, the Women Advocates namely- Indu Kumari Sandhu, Leena Devi Sargotra and Jagdeep Kour Sargotra were honoured by the Sarpanch Jyoti Motan.
Those who were felicitated/ honoured thanked the Association for this and said, “The Association has no idea how much this means to us because it comes from people who really know what we do, who know us what we are. To know that we are appreciated is wonderful, but to know that we are appreciated by their highest representative body we respect is gratifying beyond words.”
