Jammu, May 08, 2024: The Reflection Group (TRG) proudly commemorated World Mother’s Day with a jubilant celebration featuring Dance and Fancy-Dress Competitions, alongside a heartfelt tribute to mothers who have been instrumental in nurturing their children’s success. The event, held at Writer’s Club, Abhinav Theatre, Jammu today, brought together students from various schools to honor the profound impact of maternal support.
The Reflection Group (TRG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting social welfare and community development initiatives. With a mission to empower individuals and foster inclusive growth, TRG organizes a diverse range of events and programs aimed at uplifting marginalized communities and celebrating the richness of cultural diversity. Through collaborative efforts and grassroots initiatives, TRG strives to create a more equitable and compassionate society for all.
Highlighting the invaluable role of mothers in shaping the future generation, TRG paid homage to exemplary mothers who have tirelessly supported their children’s journey towards excellence. Among those honored were Smt. Anita Chandpuri, Smt. Antu Kotwal, and Smt. Sheetal Lakhnotra, whose unwavering dedication and encouragement have inspired their children to achieve remarkable feats in life.
The festivities were graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Kudeep Raina, a State Awardee and Head of the Music Department at MAM College, who served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. Dr. Raina’s profound insights and words of appreciation added a touch of reverence to the event, underscoring the profound bond between mothers and their children.
Ravinder Sharma, General Secretary of TRG, led the proceedings with finesse, guiding the audience through a series of captivating performances and heartfelt tributes. His unwavering commitment to honouring maternal influence resonated with all attendees, fostering a sense of gratitude and admiration for the selfless sacrifices made by mothers worldwide.
The event was meticulously orchestrated by Rohit Bains, whose organizational prowess ensured a seamless and memorable experience for all participants and guests. From coordinating the competitions to overseeing the logistics, Bains’s dedication played a pivotal role in bringing the vision of World Mother’s Day celebration to fruition.
In Fancy dress category Devanshi of Steeping Stones Bari- Brahamna stood 1st, 2nd prize was shared by Pooravi Sharma of Pristine International School, Bantalab and Baibhav Basotra of Steeping Stones Bari- Brahamna and third prize was shared by Aadhaya of JK Convent School, Subash Nagar and Kayira Atri of Steeping Stones Bari- Brahamna.
In Solo Dance category, Jhanvi of Spark Dance Academy stood first while Mahi of S.P. Smart School stood 2nd. Third prize was shared Sharanya Bali of G. D. Gonika and Kanchan of KV-II grab 3rd prize.
In Group Dance Category, team of JK convert was declared first, while Shishu Mandir High School, Digiana and Pragmatic Higher Sec. School, Miran Sahib stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.
