Apni Party Leaders Engage with Kashmiri Pandit Community, Seek Support for Upcoming Elections

Srinagar, May 06, 2024: In a concerted effort to connect with the Kashmiri Pandit community and garner support for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, senior Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) leaders embarked on a series of visits to Pandit colonies in Budgam, Vessu, and Mattan.

Farooq Andrabi, the party’s senior leader and Media Advisor, accompanied by recently joined Kashmiri Pandit leader M.K. Yogi and other senior colleagues, visited the Sheikhpora migrant colony in Budgam. During their interaction with residents, Andrabi emphasized the Apni Party’s commitment to peace, prosperity, and development in the region.

“The Apni Party, under the leadership of Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, has a clear vision for a better future,” Andrabi stated. “We understand the challenges faced by our Pandit brethren and are dedicated to addressing them effectively. With your support and mandate, we will work tirelessly to ensure your concerns are heard and resolved.”

Meanwhile, a separate delegation led by Anantnag District President Abdul Rahim Rather visited the Kashmiri Pandit colonies in Vessu and Mattan. The delegation included M.K. Yogi, Provincial Secretary of the Minority Wing Nana Ji Wattal, and other senior party members.

The leaders engaged with the residents, patiently listening to their concerns and grievances. They assured the community that their issues would be raised with the relevant authorities for prompt resolution.

These visits highlight the Apni Party’s proactive approach to engaging with the Kashmiri Pandit community and understanding their needs. By seeking their support and actively addressing their concerns, the party aims to build trust and foster a sense of inclusivity in its vision for a prosperous and peaceful Jammu and Kashmir.
