President urged to take criminal action against AIR for describing Kashmir as a province & Jammu as a division

Jammu, February 22, 2021: A meeting of the senior leadership of JKNPP was held in Jammu to take appropriate legal and political action against All India Radio (Kashmir) for describing Kashmir Ghati as a province and Jammu province as a division in its news bulletin from Srinagar (Kashmir). The same AIR in its news bulletin from Jammu describes Jammu province as a division.

All India Radio in its bulletin announces from Srinagar in Urdu has been describing Kashmir Ghati as Kashmir province whereas the news bulletin in Dogri and other languages the Jammu province is described as a division.

Prof.Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party said that the All India Radio and many Central Institutions have been influenced by the Owen Dixon Plan which in 1951 has projected the Dixon Plan before the United Nations to create an Islamic State of Kashmir by uniting the Muslim majority areas of Jammu province with Kashmir Ghati. This plan was rejected by the Govt. of India headed by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Prof.Bhim Singh expressed surprise that Govt. of India and its Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has also fallen in the trap of Dixon Plan without realizing that Jammu and Kashmir has a province of Kashmir which included Kargil and Ladakh also and Jammu was also recognized by Maharaja Hari Singh as a province besides province of Gilgit and Baltistan. The province of Gilgit & Baltistan has been under the illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1948. Entire territory in what AIR call Jammu division is confirmed Jammu province which is described by AIR. All India Radio which is under the control of Govt. of India has been describing Jammu province as a division which is not only misleading but a criminal misuse of national bulletin. Shocking!

Prof.Bhim Singh has urged the President of India, Mr. Ramnath Kovind for immediate intervention to ensure that All India Radio is not misused by vested interests.
