JKNPP pained over centre’s refusal to Sikh Jatha to visit Nankana Sahib

Jammu, February 18, 2021: An emergency meeting of JKNPP held at Jammu expressed deep anguish over refusal of Govt. of India to over 500 Sikh Jatha to visit Nankana Sahib for observing centenary of Saka Nankana Sahib, Panthers Party strongly criticized the Central Govt for its diplomatic failure which should have taken appropriate measures to take up the matter earlier with Govt of Pakistan. Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) should have been taken in confidence much earlier to find on appropriate resolution, the party release said.
Prof.Bhim Singh, Patron and President JKNPP expressed shock that Sikh Jatha was blocked at the eleventh hour of scheduled date, without prior notice. He urged upon the government to talk to Pakistan on this issue so that reasonable arrangements are made by the host country to facilitate the Sikh Jatha yatra on the schedule dates.
