J&K is expecting a gift on August 15, 2021, by the PM Modi as he promised himself

Jammu, June 05, 2021: August 5, 2019 will go down as a historic day in the history of India particularly the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi turned the State of J&K into two Union Territories of India. In his statement made on August 8, 2019, Prime Minister said that it was a temporary measure.  He said that the status of J&K shall remain as the State except the area of Ladakh. People have been patiently waiting for that to happen i.e. the restoration of the statehood to the State of J&K as the Prime Minister has promised. According to him at that time he said that he has taken this action simply because these Articles create confusion and give way to terrorism, separatism, massive corruption. He further explained that the sword of war always remained hanging over the heads of the people of India. He emphasized that it disturbs peace and costs lives, liberties and Propert\ies. He also listed many other subjects of which J&K State was deprived of because of Article 370. Mr. Modi at that time appealed to all parties in Parliament to support him in his efforts to bring peace on the borders of the country.

Now, it is almost two years and a high time when the Prime Minister of India keeps his promise to the people of India in general and J&K in particular. The Prime Minister should call all political parties’ leaders and discuss the matter with the open mind and share it with the Parliament. Without any further delay, restoration of the status of J&K as a full-fledged State with a Chief Minister like any other State in India should be made. Dereliction of the promise by the Prime Minister which he made on August 8, 2019 will be taken by the people of India and also world community as a promise which was not kept by him.

The Panthers Party and its leadership headed by Prof.Bhim Singh, President demands that the present temporary status as the Prime Minister said himself should be ended and restoration of the statehood of J&K should be completed by Independence Day i.e. August 15, 2021.
