IECU signs landmark MoU with leading pharma manufacturers
Jammu, June 29, 2021: In a landmark MoU, IEC University Baddi Himachal Pradesh has signed training, internship and R&D collaborations agreement with India’s three leading pharma companies: Cosway Biosciences Navi Mumbai Maharashtra, Cosway Pharmaceuticals Una Himachal Pradesh and Krisa Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Baddi Himachal Pradesh, to provide extensive product development, training, and internship support to IECU students.
This major initiative will give a winning career development edge to University’s pharma, basic sciences, management, and engineering students in the highly promising and fast-growing field of pharmaceuticals.
The three companies undertake contract manufacturing as well as manufacture their own branded products. These companies are known for applying the latest processing technique as per GMP Standard and have dedicated pharma research, development and manufacturing centers.
As per the terms of MoU, these companies will provide extensive support to IEC University students in terms of training, internships, placement, research and career development. The MoU materialized after companies senior officials were fully satisfied with IECU’s facilities, quality of faculty, students and the University’s commitment to providing students with the best possible sectoral exposure.
“We are very happy with the IECU’s facilities and steps were taken by its management to provide the best of industrial and sectoral exposures to its students to enhance their career. We will provide all possible support to students,” said Mr. Manav Grover, Managing Director of Cosway Biosciences, and Cosway Pharmaceuticals.
A senior official of IECU said that the landmark MoU will open up new opportunities for students and give a jump start to their career in the exciting and fast-growing field of pharmaceuticals.
As is well known, there is a massive shortage of trained pharmacists in the country and a career in pharma sector provides life-long job security and also offers a bright future in starting own business.
