Jammu, May 31 2021: Despite Covid disruptions, IEC University, the leading private university of north India, has once again managed to secure very impressive placements for students. The unique aspect of this year placement was that IECU, as part of its commitment to larger fraternity of students and recently launched social initiative, also secured placements for candidates from other universities/institutes.
In the first run, 160 students, including 120 from IECU and 40 external candidates, were called for virtual interview. After two rounds, over 100 students, around 60 from IECU and 40 external, were given job offers from large banks and corporate at an average annual package of Rs 3.1 lakh per annum.
Another unique aspect of this year’s placement exercise was that the majority of selected candidates have been assigned their hometown as their base workstation, keeping in view of prevailing Covid situation. This thoughtful gesture fructified after deliberations between companies and the University.
