Friendly Cricket Match held between ADGP Jammu –XI and Media –XI

Jammu, August 01, 2021: A Friendly Cricket Match was held between ADGP Jammu- XI and Media Jammu- XI today on 01.08.2021 at KC Sports Club Jammu to build up a friendly working atmosphere amongst two major stake holders in peace building.
SSP Jammu Sh. Chandan Kohli (IPS), APP Sh. Rajesh Gill, SDPO Akhnoor DySP Sh. Varun Jandyal (KPS) and other officers of J&K Police played the match under the Captaincy of ADGP Jammu Sh. Mukesh Singh (IPS). Media team played under the Captaincy of Mr Vivek Suri . The Spectators witnessed a splendid display of true spirit of sportsmanship by both the teams. Media XI team emerged as the winner in a nail biting finish. Sh Chander Sharma from Media XI was adjudged the Man of the Match and Sh Mukesh Singh (IPS) from ADGP XI was declared as the best bowler.
While addressing the media ADGP said that media plays a vital role in highlighting the good work of police and at the same time points out areas of improvement in functioning of the police which helps us continuously improve our work culture.
He assured of more such matches in future and of organizing tournaments under Civic Action to bring out best talent in cricket n Jammu province.
