Financial Literacy Camp held in Dera Baba Banda, Reasi

Reasi, March 03, 2021:  To promote the cause of Financial Literacy/inclusion, a Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) supported under FIF and managed by NABARD was conducted at Dera Baba Banda Village of Reasi District.

The Camp was organized on the direction of Supdt of Post Offices, Udhampur Division Shri Vijay Kumar Kataria. The main focus of the camp was to open the account under Sukanya Samriddhi.for Girl Child under 10 Years.

Shri Raj Kuamr , Sub Divisional Inspector of Reasi Sub Division welcomed all the participants of the programme. He briefed the gathering about the different types of accounts that can be maintained in a Post Office/India Post Payments Bank and also explained in detail about several benefits that can be availed by a customer having an account. He also explained the benefits of Digital Banking, Cashless Banking and motivated the public to make cashless banking a part of their life. He briefed the public about Door Step Banking for submission of digital life certificate through postman.

The IPPB is utilising its national network of more than one lakh 36 thousand access points in Post Offices and more than one lakh 89 thousand Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks with smart phones and biometric devices to provide Doorstep Banking Services

Amit Sharma, Manager, IPPB Udhampur motivated the villagers including local Sarpanch and Panches for digital banking and postal services like AePS, Sukanya Samriddhi Account, Recurring Deposit, Postal life Insurance /Rural Postal Life Insurance and bill payments through India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) Mobile App.
