Field Outreach Bureau (FOB) Rajouri organises Webinar on “Precautions for home isolation during Covid-19”

Rajouri, May 20, 2021:Field Outreach Bureau,, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Rajouri in close coordination with Tehsil Administration, Sunderbani, District Information Centre, Rajouri, Health department, ICDS and Rural Development organised a webinar on “Precautions for home isolation during Covis-19” today.  The webinar was presided over by Shri Vinod Kumar Behnal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sunderbani

Shri Vinod Kumar Behnal. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sunderbani in his address said that Tehsil administration is on its toes to contain the pandemic.  He also broadly provided crucial information related to the pandemic including details of the cases in Sunderbani and provision of testing facilities. While speaking about the generating awareness of Covid-19, he appreciated the steps taken by Regional Outreach Bureau in organising such webinar and sharing crucial information ands awareness through such webinars and other mediums of social media like face book, twitter handle, whattsapp, etc.  he suggested that such webinars should be organised frequently for sharing information  of such important issues and to contain further spread of Corona Virus.

Sh. Rajnesh Singh, Medical Officer, who acted as resource person delivered a key note address on Precautions for home isolation during Covid-19 and also spoke about the importance of physical distancing, wearing mask, washing hands frequently, refraining from social gatherings and coming out of home unnecessarily.

Dr. Meena Kumari, Medical Officer provided threadbare awareness of SOPs and guidelines for home isolation.  She said that only asymptomatic and mild cases are kept under home isolation.   She also held a detailed lecture on the precautions to be taken by care giver to a home isolated patient.  She was of the view that oxygen saturation at room air of more than 94% (asymptomatic cases), Upper respiratory track Symptoms or fever without shortness of breath and oxygen saturation at room air more than 94% ( Mild cases) plays a crucial role in keeping patients at home isolation.

Mrs, Shalni Gupta, Child Development Project Officer, Sunderbani spoke on the role of Supervisor,  Anganwadi workers, and helpers in spreading the awareness of Covid-19, providing medical facilities and essential commodities to masses at their door steps.  Having about 184 ICDS centres in Sunderbani, the supervisors and workers reach every nook and corner of the area for this noble cause.

Dr. Manzoor Hussain. Block Medical Officer, Sunderbani extended his support and coordination in making the event successful and result oriented.

Shri Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Udhampur presented the Welcome address and Shri Shahid Mohmmad Lone Field Publicity Officer, Anantnag proposed the vote of thanks.  The webinar was moderated by Shri Gurnam Singh, Incharge Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri.
