CEC Khan visits Aryan Valley
Lays foundation stone of various infrastructural development works, interacts with public delegations to know their issues, grievances
KARGIL, JULY 15, 2021: In order take stock of the status of various developmental works in Aryan Valley, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan along with the Executive Councilor for Tourism Er Phunsok Tashi, Executive Councilor for Health Mohsin Ali and Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve visited several villages in the area and laid foundation stone of various infrastructural development works.
Chief Executive Officer, Kargil Development Authority (KDA) Abdul Gaffar Zargar, IAS Probationer Nilza Angmo ,Tehsildar Kargil, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Kargil, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, I&FC, KDA, engineers of Power Grid, PDD and other concerned officers accompanied the CEC during the tour.
CEC Feroz Ahmad Khan laid the foundation stone of 60 meter span steel girder bridge connecting Shoray village with Garkone being constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crores by the R&B Department under SDP.
CEC Khan interacted with various public delegations and was apprised by the villagers about their demands including provision of solar power, construction of vermi compost units, artificial glacier at Shoray village besides other related demands.
Feroz Ahmad Khan also laid the foundation stone of multipurpose auditorium/sports stadium at Darchiks village which is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 200.139 lacs by the R&B Department Kargil under the District Plan.
The CEC also interacted with the inhabitant of Darchiks village who projected their issues and demands including the construction of fencing for agriculture fields, repair of interior electric lines and transformers, irrigation khuls, measures to address water scarcity and other related demands.
While interacting with public delegations at different villages, the CEC assured that all necessary measures will be taken for redressal of the demands in a phased manner.
At Garkone, Feroz Ahmad Khan also laid the foundation stone of Sindhu Ghat being constructed by KDA under District Capex Budget at a cost of Rs 20 lacs.
The CEC on the occasion directed the concerned engineers to concretize the embankments of the ghat to avoid damage from any possible flood in the area.
On the occasion, public delegations of Garkone village projected several demands of the village including requirement of agricultural kits, construction of irrigation khuls, link road to Judi Garkone, waste management measures and other related demands.
Meanwhile, CEC Feroz Ahmad Khan also visited Yaldor village while trekking on foot for 1 kms and interacted with various public delegations there.
Regarding the demarcation of land at the border of Leh and Kargil in Aryan Valley, CEC Khan directed the concerned officers to frame a team under the supervision of DC Kargil and to take the matter with the DC Leh and other concerned officers.
Responding to the various demands and issues of the locals, CEC Feroz Ahmad Khan said that under Jal Jeevan Mission, Yaldor village will be included with Garkone and pertaining to electricity the village will be soon connected to Garkone through Yaldor feeder.
The CEC on the occasion announced sanction of link roads well as a knitting center for the women folk of Yaldor village, and also assured that the Asha Workers of the village will also be provided necessary training.
Later, the CEC also visited the proposed site for construction of Aryan Valley Gateway and War Memorial Museum at Saltoo Batalik where in the CEC said that the site is feasible for the construction of both projects.
Meanwhile, the Sarpanch and Lambardars of village Garkone and Darchiks expressed gratitude to the CEC for paying special attention for overall development of their area.
