CEC Feroz Khan attends final match of District Level Football Tournament

Assures to provide all possible infrastructural facilities to players to hone their skills

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 09, 2021: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan attended the finals of the District Level Football Tournament organised by Football Club Baroo at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Biamathang here today where he was the chief guest.

Executive Councillor For Works and Information Aga Syed Abass Razvi, Councillor Baroo Minji Constituency Sheikh Ghulam Mehdi, Former CEC Kargil Haji Muhammad Hanifa Jan, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kargil Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma besides other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

In his address CEC Feroz Khan congratulated the organisers for successful conduct of the tournament and expressed optimism that the step will go a long way in generating interest among the youngsters about the game of football.

The CEC said that the LAHDC Kargil is fully committed to provide all necessary facilities to players to upgrade their skills. He said that a good number of works for construction of various sports related infrastructure is going on in full swing in the district for which adequate funds have been allocated under different schemes.

Khan assured players and sports enthusiasts that people will witness drastic changes in sports related infrastructure and facilities in near future which will prove instrumental in the promotion of sports culture besides also providing adequate platform to budding players to showcase and hone their sporting skills.

Meanwhile, the final match was played between FC Poyen and RLC Baroo wherein FC Poyen clinched the title with a margin of of 1 goal.

A total of 30 teams from different parts of the district participated in the tournament.
