BJP Leader Javid Kakroo Pays Tribute on Pulwama Attack Anniversary, Calls for Unity Against Terrorism

Srinagar, February 14, 2024: On the solemn anniversary of the 2019 Pulwama attack, BJP leader Javid Kakroo solemnly reflected on the sacrifices of India’s armed and security forces. “On remembering this day,” Kakroo stated, “the whole nation stands with the bravery of our armed and security forces who are always on their toes in safeguarding the nation from its enemies.”

The Pulwama attack, which occurred on February 14, 2019, remains etched in the nation’s memory as one of the deadliest assaults on India’s state security personnel in Kashmir. The convoy of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was targeted by a suicide bomber, resulting in the loss of 40 lives. The attack, claimed by the Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed, dealt a severe blow to India-Pakistan relations, sparking a military standoff between the two countries.

As the nation honours the memory of the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country, Kakroo called for a renewed commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms. “Let us make a pledge on this day of remembrance to combat and eradicate all acts of terrorism,” he urged, emphasizing the importance of unity and resilience in the face of adversity.

Kakroo also underscored the need to strengthen and support those working tirelessly towards peace and prosperity within the nation. In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, communities across India came together in solidarity, demonstrating the indomitable spirit of the Indian people in the face of tragedy.

As the nation reflects on the events of that fateful day, Kakroo’s message serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by India’s armed forces and the unwavering determination of its citizens to uphold peace and security.
