BJP Leader Javid Kakroo Condemns Terror Attacks in Kashmir, Offers Condolences to Victims
Srinagar, May 19, 2024: Senior BJP leader Javid Kakroo has strongly condemned the recent terror attacks in Shopian and Anantnag districts, which left a BJP worker dead and two tourists from Rajasthan injured.
“The killing of former Sarpanch and BJP worker Aijaz Ahmad is a barbaric act that must be universally condemned,” Kakroo declared in a press statement. “My deepest condolences go out to his family. May Allah grant him Jannah.”
He also expressed concern for the injured tourists, stating, “I pray for the speedy recovery of the couple from Rajasthan. This violence against innocent civilians is unacceptable and has no place in our society.”
The two attacks occurred on Saturday evening, sending shockwaves through the region. In the first incident, terrorists opened fire on a couple from Rajasthan near the popular tourist destination of Pahalgam in Anantnag district. The husband remains in critical condition, while his wife is reported to be stable.
These incidents are a blatant attempt by terrorists to disrupt the growing peace and normalcy in the Kashmir Valley. However, the people of Kashmir remain resilient and unequivocally reject such acts of violence. They are determined to see the democratic process flourish and for peace to prevail. Kakroo’s strong condemnation reflects the collective will of the people who stand united against terrorism and are committed to building a brighter future for the region.
