Ayushman Bharat (AB-PMJAY): A ray of hope for poor, needy: Puneet Mahajan
Jammu, May 20, 2023: BJP Health and Medical Cell convener Jammu and Kashmir, Puneet Mahajan visited Super-Specialty Hospital, Jammu to extend every possible help to a patient hailing from Bhaderwah, Doda and required immediately Heart Surgery costing nearly Rs 3.00 Lac , but the family was facing some rarest technical problem with their Ayushman Bharat Golden Card . He took up the matter with Medical Superitendant Dr Manoj Chalotra , CEO – State Health Authority and Insurance Company Iffco Tokio and the matter was resolved with the help of Administration
Puneet Mahajan urged The Doctor and hospital administration to take every care of the patient.
Doctor apprised him that thousands of Heart Procedures / Surgeries have been successfully done in the Hospital free of cost under Narendra Modii led Government PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat Sehat Scheme). He highlighted that it is a big relief to the patients of Jammu Province, cardiac surgery is now being carried out routinely at Government Superspeciality Hospital Jammu under Ayushman Sehat Scheme for which patients do not have to shell out anything from their pockets.
Puneet Mahajan said Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) aims to cover 1.3 crore population of Jammu and Kashmir and provide a cover of Rs 5 lakh per family a year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization and added scheme has proved a boon for numerous poor families who could not think of treatment at prestigious and premier medical institutes of the country.
Mahajan said that Narendra Modi government is committed to provide top-quality healthcare free of cost to all the citizens of jammu & Kashmir. Ayushman Bharat has had a positive impact on several lives and transformed our health sector, he reiterated .
BJP Health and Medical Cell Co-convener Dr Rajinder Gupta, Bharat Bhushan Padha and District Jammu Convener Sudesh Sharma were also present.
