Arrested along IB on May 18, Pak intruder succumbs at GMC Jammu
Jammu, May 28, 2021: A Pakistani intruder, who was injured and arrested while attempting to infiltrate from International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on May 18, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Friday afternoon, an official said.
As per the details, Aasim (27) son of Ishar Qasim of Pakistan was admitted in Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, Jammu by police.
He was injured during the cross border firing on May 18 after Border Security Force (BSF) claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid and nabbed an intruder in Banglaid area of Samba district.
The official said that Pakistani citizen succumbed to his injuries and breathed his last around 11.45 AM, adding that the body has been shifted to hospital’s mortuary and Samba police have been informed for further procedure.
This was the second infiltration attempt in the Samba sector in the past fortnight. Earlier, an intruder was shot dead by BSF along the IB in the same sector on May 5—(KNO)
