EK YUDH NASHE KE VIRUDH” Continues, 5 bootleggers arrested 4 FIR registered: Reasi Police

Jammu, May 28, 2021: In another major strike on illicit liquor, raids were conducted in which 5 more bootleggers are arrested in 4 FIR’s under Excise Act since last 72 hours, and seized 10 Litres of illicit liquor (Hooch), destroyed one manufacturing unit and 10 Litres of lahan.
Teams of Police Station Ransoo conducted series of raids in Ransoo area in which 3 bootleggers were arrested, for which FIR NO. 6 & 7/2021 registered under Excise Act against the criminals in Police Station Ransoo.
Accused arrested are Ashwani Verma S/O Anant Verma R/O Ransoo, Ashok Singh S/O Munshi Ram  R/O Sangar, Krishan Singh S/O Kallu Ram R/O Talwara A/P Ransoo.
In Pouni, one bootlegger namely Susheel Sharma S/O Kurko Ram R/O Kothian Pouni was arrested alongwith 3 litres of Hooch  by the team of police station Pouni during the raids for which FIR NO.  28/2021 under Excise Act are registered in Police Station Pouni.
Police Station Reasi in separate raids registered FIR No 113/2021 under Excise Act and arrested One bootlegger namely Rakesh Singh S/O Karam Chand R/O Kaithi Thuroo which transporting illicit liquor to Talwara area.
“EK YUDH NASHE KE VIRUDH” is a drive against illicit liquor and drug abuse launched under the Supervision of SSP Reasi Sh. Shailender Singh is continue in every nook and corner of District Reasi in which Lahan and illegal distilleries are being destroyed and Illicit is being liquor Seized. 63 FIR have been registered in last six weeks against criminals involved drug abuse & illicit liquor in which 81 offender’s had been arrested.
Peoples of Reasi particularly women folk are appreciating the efforts of Reasi Police in taking action against illicit liquor vendors on such a large scale which leads to curb the menace of illicit liquor in the area.
