Apni Party organises one day convention in Jammu

JAMMU, JULY 14, 2021: Apni Party today organised a one-day convention of party leaders and workers at Jammu to discuss the present political situation and chalk out strategy to establish people to people contact by making people aware about the policies and programmes of the Party.

The convention was organised by District President, Jammu Urban, Pranav Shagotra here in which senior leaders including Ex-MLC and General Secretary, Vijay Bakaya, General Secretary, Vikram Malhotra, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh and others were present.

In his address to the convention, General Secretary Vijay Bakaya congratulated Urban District President Pranav Shagotra for organizing the impressive gathering.

He explained to those present that the Apni Party had come to rebuild the edifice of the State which had come crumbling down with the removal of Article 370 and 35A because of the divisive and soft separatist policies of the previous Govts.

He stated that the Apni Party under the leadership of Altaf Bukhari, a pragmatic and truthful leader, is determined to rebuild this edifice on the foundation of development and achievable goals, the first among which is restoration of statehood and preservation of its unique cultural and regional identity.

He said Apni Party shall not make false promises nor raise hollow slogans but shall take the people on the road of development to the goal of peace and prosperity without carrying the baggage of the past

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary, Vikram Malhotra said that the recent mayhem created by heavy rains has exposed the false promises of Smart City Project in Jammu and BJP’s publicity efforts have badly crashed in the recent rainfalls.

“The people of Jammu have witnessed the worst kind of arrangements by the Jammu Municipal Corporation to avoid waterlogging and flash-floods. They could not avert damage to the private and public property in Jammu and caused inconvenience to the people and burdened them with financial losses with the damages to their properties,” he said.

Malhotra said “The people should be compensated by the administration following assessment of the losses suffered by the people. Adequate measures should also be taken so that such trouble can be avoided in future.”

Meanwhile, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh said that Apni Party has received overwhelming response from the people especially youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

“They trust the Party and its leadership because of politics of truthfulness. We do not mislead people with false and hollow slogans to gain votes. The Party stands with what it promises to the people and all those things are achievable. We never abandon our policies and programmes. We promise what is achievable and good for the people and the youth of J&K,” said Manjit Singh.

He said that “People are joining the Party due to their faith in the leadership of Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari. This belief among the people has strengthened the party in urban and rural areas of J&K.”

He said that when other political parties were silent, it was only Bukhari Sahab who raised the issues of public and youth before the Govt of India and got them redressed.

District President, Jammu Urban, Pranav Shagotra, on this occasion, said that the party stands with the people of Jammu who have been left leaderless by the BJP.

“BJP could not do what it had promised with the people. Jammu people trusted their promises and voted them to power in the last assembly of J&K. However, they could not perform or do welfare/developmental works,” said Shagotra.

He said that it was unfortunate that the people were left to the mercy of God with no one to listen to them. “The failure can be gauged from the fact that even the administration does not listen to the BJP leaders of Jammu. They have become helpless as the babus have got powers and no one is questioning them because of no elected Govt in J&K,” said the District President, Jammu Urban.

Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Provincial Secretary Dr Rohit Gupta, OBC State Coordinator Madan Lal Chalotra, SC State Coordinator Bodh Raj Bhagat, Apni Trade Union, J&K President, Ajaz Kazmi, State General Secretary Youth Wing Abhay Bakaya, District Vice President, Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo, and others.
