Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal Khan says bias exists in Bollywood, reveals Karan Johar insulted him at a party

With the ongoing debate on nepotism and insider-outsider in Bollywood, many have come out and spoken about their experiences and journey in the film industry. Recently, Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal Khan says bias in the film industry exists and he has experienced it. Spilling some beans on the same, Faisal reportedly told a news portal that if someone’s work flops, they don’t treat them well in Bollywood. According to Faisal, they don’t even look at you and it has happened to him.
Narrating an incident, Faisal revealed that on his brother’s 50th birthday, he was looked down upon by someone that he didn’t wish to name. He also added that filmmaker Karan Johar too acted weird with me. According to him, the director put me down and insulted him when he was trying to talk to someone.
Faisal said that after his film, ‘Mela’, in which Faisal appeared with Aamir, he thought that filmmakers would appreciate him for

his craft, but he was sidelined. However, at the same time, Faisal added that it is not impossible for ‘outside’ talent to make its mark in the film industry.
He gave examples of actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana and others who are outsiders and have today made it big on their own. He added that industry kids can have an initial advantage, as he did, but they will survive only on the basis of what they bring to the table.
