J&K defeat Manipur in Nagesh Cricket Trophy for blind
Jammu, November 21, 2021: Jammu and Kashmir team trounced Manipur cricket team in the ongoing NAGESH TROPHY for blind cricket tournament being played at Gurgaon Delhi. J&K team won third consecutive match of the tournament.
Winning the toss, Manipur elected to field first. Azeem played excellent knock of 155 runs in 84 balls put J&K on the top score of 220 runs, losing 4 wickets in stipulated 20 overs match. In reply Manipur collapsed on 119 in 20 overs.
Earlier the J&K team was selected in two days Selection trials conducted at M A Std. under the supervision of Nuzhat Gull, Secretary Sports council in coordination with cricket association for blind. Secretary showered the words of motivation, dedication and encouragement on J&K Players besides elaborating about motive of raising such kind of teams, before they leave for participation in the trophy.
