Yogi pays Rich Tributes to community Martyrs on the eve of 36th Holocaust Day

Jammu, January 18, 2024: 36th Holocaust Day which is being observed every year on 19th January 2025 marks as the darkest day of the history of Jammu and Kashmir when more than five lakh Kashmiri Pandita were forced to leave Kashmir Valley in 1990 under an atmosphere of gun culture and Pakistan sponsored terrorism.

This violence led this micro minority community to homeless and forced them to take refuge in their own country in Udhampur, Jammu, Delhi and other parts of the country and are living in pathetic conditions there temporarily for last more than thirty six years and this day is observed every year on 19th January to remember and pay homage to community martyrs who were sacrificed for the cause of the country and motherland and it is day to remember the pain and agony of forceful exodus of 1990 on 19th January.

In Statement issued today, M.K.Yogi paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the community who laid down their lives during the militancy period for the cause of the motherland at the hands of terrorists and expressed deep solidarity with bereaved families.

Yogi appealed to Prime Minister of India and Home Minister to take concrete steps for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri pandits back in valley with honour and dignity keeping in view all the security parameters. Yogi further said that holocaust day is the most painful and darkest day for them

He appealed community members to observe this day on mass level where over they wish in order to exhibit the strong massage of unity and determination for achieving the destined goal of the community which is the paramount need of the hour.

He also impressed upon the community volunteers and leaders to come forward voluntarily on single platform and discharge their assigned role in befitting manner for the crucial issues of the community
