Weekly Drive launched to Educate People on Traffic Rules by Traffic Police Jammu

Jammu, June 23, 2021: Since 21st June 2021, Traffic police Jammu launched Awareness Campaign in and around Jammu city to prevent violations of Traffic Rules and to Educate people on the need to take Safety Precautions.

Traffic Police Jammu mainly focused on educating Peoples, who are without Helmets, Over speed & triple riding on bikes ignoring traffic rules.

Traffic Police Jammu created awareness among people on road Safety Rules which include wearing helmets, wearing Seat Belt during four-wheeler journey, Avoiding use of cell phone while driving, Driving vehicles without licences or after expiry of licence and Driving Vehicles without insurance.

They also pointed out violation of Rules by Buses & Mini buses drivers like overloading the vehicles and using of sound system while driving etc.

Traffic Police stopped the Riders/Drivers who are without Helmet or Seat Belt and Counselled them

On the importance of Traffic Rules and their Consequences.

We are Trying to create Awareness among the people on Road Safety, Importance of Traffic Rules and imposing penalties if the people are negligent in observing Safety Rules,” explained SSP Traffic Jammu Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma JKPS.

SSP Traffic also appealed the General Public to Obey the Traffic Rules and maintain Order and Discipline on roads for their Safety.
