Vibodh Discusses Academic and Students Issues With Vice Chancellor BGSBU

Jammu, April 5, 2021: Amid huge expectations for raising the profile of prestigious Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri, BJP State General Secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta today called on Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor BGSBU. During the meeting, Vibodh congratulated the VC for his new assignment at BGSBU and expressed hope that University under his leadership will achieve greater heights in academic excellence.

While highlighting various issues with regard to students and staff of the University, Vibodh raised the issue of huge admission fee, recruitment for Asistant Registrar and time bound promotions for staff and Faculty members at BGSBU. This Vibodh said will boost the morale of students as well as the teachers. Such a motivation is vital to the overall growth of the institution.

On this occasion Vibodh also advised the Vice Chancellor to give due representation to local voices in the executive council of University. This he said will help in further boosting various activities of the institution at local level and will give ownership of various high level decisions for the improvement of University to locals.

Other prominent issues which were highlighted by senior BJP leader included improvement in sports infrastructure, starting of new courses specifically Law and Political Science, implementation of Pahari reservation for recruitment in line with SC / ST reservation and improvement in transport facility for day boarders. Vibodh very specifically mentioned the problems being faced by female students due to lack of adequate transport facilities. While highlighting the vision of PM Modi with regard to new education policy 2020, Vibodh stressed on the need for focusing on skill based and job oriented courses at the University. NEP 2020 is a excellent opportunity to move the university towards this direction, Vibodh added.
