Veteran Kashmiri Pandit Leader M.K. Yogi and Youth Activist Muktesh Yogi Join JKAP, Adding Strength and Diversity

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, President of JK Apni Party Welcomes Influential Leaders, Bolstering Ranks with Focus on Minority Community

Srinagar, May 5, 2024: In a significant boost to its presence, the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) welcomed several prominent political and social activists into its fold on Sunday. The joining ceremony, held at the party headquarters in Srinagar, saw a notable influx of members from the minority community, particularly from the Anantnag district in south Kashmir.

Among the new entrants was M.K. Yogi, a highly respected Kashmiri Pandit leader and social activist, known for his role as the former president of the Martand Trust in Mattan. His joining is seen as a major achievement for the JKAP, led by Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, and underscores the party’s growing appeal within the minority community.

Other prominent figures who joined the JKAP include Rattan Lal Bhat, Heera Lal Bhat, Virender Sathoo, Ashwani Kumar Bhat, Pran Nath Pandita, Ashok Kumar Bawnoo, Rajesh Labroo, Chand Ji Raina, Subash Kashroo, Krishan Ji Koul, Ex. Sarpanch Rattan Lal Pandita, Ex. President MC Mattan Mohammad Yaseen Bhat, Ex-President MC Dewsar Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Ex Councilor Azad A Ganai, Senior Youth Leader Aam Admi Party Muktesh Yogi, Social Activist Nisar Ahmad Nengroo, Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, Bashir Ahmad Najar, Mohammod Yousuf, and others.

Bukhari, along with other senior party leaders, warmly welcomed the new members and assured them of a platform to effectively serve their communities and the broader population. He emphasized the JKAP’s commitment to inclusivity and its dedication to addressing the concerns of all sections of society.

“The joining of these influential leaders, especially from the minority community, strengthens our resolve to work for the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir,” stated Bukhari. “We believe in creating a space where everyone feels heard and represented, and we are confident that their contributions will be invaluable in our journey.”

This expansion of the JKAP’s ranks signifies a growing trust in the party’s vision and its ability to represent the diverse voices of Jammu and Kashmir. With a focus on development, peace, and unity, the JKAP continues to emerge as a significant political force in the region.

Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir and Anantnag District President Abdul Rahim Rather facilitated the joining of the new members. Provincial Secretary of the Minority Wing, Nana Ji Wattal, was also present at the event.
