Sanjeevni Sharda Kendra , Anand Nagar Bohri holds function to commemorate Sharda Ashtami Swami
Jammu, September 11, 2024: In a glittering function organized in Sanjeevni Sharda Kendra , Anand Nagar Bohri today on the occasion of Sharda Ashtami Swami Suchitanad of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan exhorted the displaced community to remain united as it is the only way to project the community problems and promote great spiritual legacy of Kashmiri Hindus. He recalled the contributions and sacrifices of the community during trying times of the exile. He praised the efforts of the Kendra in promoting and popularizing the cultural legacy of Kashmir.
Acharya Shiv Prasad Raina , noted saint and cultural activist who heads the sprawling nursing Dev Sansthan , Maansar traced the historical significance of Goddess Sharda . He said that this day is not only significant but very important as on this day Goddess Ganga came on the earth from the heavens. He also said that this day is also sacred because great Kashmiri saint poetess Devi Lalleshwari and great Reshi Dadeechi were also born on this day. He said that the activities of Sanjeevni Sharda Kendra are immense and will help a great deal in promoting and preservation of great historical and cultural legacy of Kashmir.
The programme started with floral offerings to the Goddess Sharda. In his welcome address the Chairman of the Kendra Dr. M K Bharat gave a detailed brief of the multifarious activities of the Kendra. He informed that the reach of the activities of the Kendra have dissipated to the different levels of the society. He cautioned against the nefarious plans of anti Hindu elements in willful falsification Kashmir history by giving false names to Hindu saints, Laleshwari being the most recent example. He demanded that a grand statue of Laleshwari be erected in her native village in Kashmir so that people regardless of faith and creed become acquainted with her and her writings which teach humanism and universal love.
On the occasion Sharda Samaan 2024 was awarded to Shri Ramkrishna Mahasammelan Ashram, Nagdandi for their sterling contributions towards social uplift in the valley.
An annual news- letter highlighting various activities of the Kendra was also released on the occasion. The programme was attended by a large number of people including writers, scholars, political and social activists. Students of Sharda Institute of Computer Education Jagati branch recited Sharda Vandana. On this occasion a grand annual Havan was performed and after Puran Ahuti Prasad was also distributed. General Secretary of the Kendra Maharaj Krishen Bhat conducted the proceedings of the programme and Soom Nath Raina, senior trustee of the Kendra presented the vote of thanks.
