Director Agriculture distributed Paddy threshers to Panchayats.
Jammu, October 14, 2021: Celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Director Agriculture Production and Farmer’s Welfare Jammu Sh K K Sharma distributed the Paddy threshers on 100% subsidy to Panchayats Khojipur and Karyal Brahmana the tail Panchayats of Jammu District in the august presence of MD JK Agro Industry Sh. Arun Manhas KAS , Joint Director Agriculture Marketing Sh Arvinder Singh Reen and CAO Jammu Sh Arvind Baru in an impressive function held at Khojipur. The programme was attended by many farmers of Pyt Khojipur and Pyt Karyal Brahmana, Sarpanch Khojipur Rajesh Sharma, Sarpanch Karyal Brahmana Anil Sharma and other PRIs.
While speaking on the occasion Director Agriculture Jammu highlighted the importance of integrated farming, Mushroom Cultivation and Vermicompost viz a viz the present day sustainable Agriculture and to double the farmer’s income till 2022. Jt Director Agri A S Reen highlighted the role of farm mechanisation in doubling the farmers income and invite farmers to come forward on community basis for farm machinery banks. Awareness on different CSS and CAPEX Budget Schemes connected directly with the welfare of Farming Community also given to them. Speaking on the occasion both Sarpanch thanked the Agriculture Department for organising such awareness camp at the tail end of Jammu District. Vote of thanx was given by CAO Jammu Sh Arvind Baru other prominent who have attended the programme were Surinder Kumar Agriculture Extension Officer Channi Himmat, JAEOs Navneet Kour, Harmeet Kour, Manjeet Kour, Arun Singh, AEAs Deepak Singh, Amit Sharma, Vishal Sudan, Ramneek Dubey and Satpal Dogra.
