Sopore Police arrests drug peddler; psychotropic substance recovered
Sopore, February 19, 2021: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
Officers during the course of investigation of case FIR No. 24/2021 of Police Station Dangiwacha, arrested one more drug peddler identified as Shakir Ahmad Baba resident of Ladoora Rafiabad along with 13 bottles of Codeine Phosphate. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Further investigation into the matter is going on.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
