Snowtales Carries the Flame from Srinagar to Jammu – A Celebration of Stories, Roots, and Resilience

Snowtales: The First OTT of Jammu & Kashmir

Jammu, September, 20,  2025: After the unforgettable unveiling of Snowtales, Jammu & Kashmir’s first homegrown OTT platform, in Srinagar, the cultural journey returned once again to Jammu, where the event received an equally heartwarming and powerful response.

We had already hosted an inaugural event in Jammu, followed by the grand launch in Srinagar, and now Snowtales came back to Jammu—this time dedicated specially to the Kashmiri Pandit community. The gathering held deep significance, honoring their resilience, heritage, and unbroken bond with the land. The evening was not just about launching a platform, but about reclaiming stories, healing wounds, and giving every community in J&K a voice that resonates far beyond borders.

The celebration took place on 20th September 2025 at 4:00 PM in the Writers’ Club, Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The response was overwhelming, with artists, filmmakers, writers, and members of the Pandit community embracing the vision of Snowtales. It reflected a shared belief that storytelling can preserve identity, heal divisions, and inspire the next generation.

Snowtales has been founded by Varun Sharma (CEO & Founder) and Saajan Kerni (COO & Founder), two passionate visionaries with roots in Jammu & Kashmir who share a common dream—to take the stories, talent, and culture of their homeland to the global stage.

Varun Sharma is a filmmaker and storyteller who has worked extensively in the entertainment industry, directing and leading creative projects across films, television, and digital platforms. His vision for Snowtales is to give dignity to J&K’s stories and create global recognition for its talent. His co-founder, Saajan Kerni, is a creative entrepreneur and media professional committed to nurturing local voices and preserving cultural identity. With a strong belief in creating opportunities for the youth of J&K, he sees Snowtales as not just a platform but a cultural revolution.

“Snowtales is born from the soil of J&K,” said Varun Sharma, CEO & Founder. “It is about giving dignity to our stories, our culture, and our people. The love we received in Srinagar was historic, and the blessings we’ve received here in Jammu, especially from the Kashmiri Pandit community, will remain with us forever.”

Adding to this, Saajan Kerni, COO & Founder, shared, “Snowtales is a promise—that no story will be left untold, no voice unheard. What began in Srinagar is now finding deeper roots in Jammu, and together, we are building a cultural bridge for the future.”

With celebrations now held in Jammu, then Srinagar, and once again in Jammu for the Kashmiri Pandit community, Snowtales is more than an OTT platform—it is becoming a movement of identity, pride, and opportunity for the youth of J&K, and a home for stories that the world needs to see.
