Jammu, May 30, 2021: Senior BJP leader Shailender Vaid, also holding charge of the Additional Secretary Protocol- J&K UT, Sunday distributed stationary material along with masks and sanitisers among students at Govt Primary school Panchayat Thayal (Dhanas) in Chenani tehsil of Udhampur district.
On the occasion Mandal President Chenani Balwan Chand, social activist Hem Raj Gupta, DDC Contestant Rita Kumari, Naib Sarpanch of Tzhayal Hans Raj and students remained present in large numbers.
The special drive was conducted as per the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who wanted to ensure that the population in rural India should not be affected and adequate measures were taken in time to prevent the spread of the virus.
BJP J&K unit Chief Ravinder Raina is supervising these programs.
Vaid said the aim behind conducting this special awareness drive was to educate the students and rural population about the appropriate Covid-19 behaviour to check the spread of the coronavirus.
He also expressed his gratitude towards the role of the district administration and appreciated their role in extending patient care services and ensuring hassle free vaccination drive.
After handing over the stationary material among the students, Shailender Vaid addressed the local residents in the area and shared his experience about the importance of adopting appropriate covid19 behaviour to break the chain of the virus.
He also informed the local villagers to remain in touch with health workers and other volunteers in their villages to extend help to any corona positive patient. Vaid said, by remaining alert, adopting social distancing and wearing masks the common people can win this war against Covid-19
