Senior BJP Leader Javid Kakroo Clarifies Party’s Absence in Kashmir Lok Sabha Elections, Critiques “Family-Led Parties”

Strategic Considerations and a Vision for Progress Guide BJP's Electoral Decisions

Jammu, April 24, 2024: Senior BJP leader Javid Kakroo recently addressed the party’s decision not to field candidates in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Kashmir. He explained that strategic considerations and the current political landscape influenced the choice.

“Every political party weighs the pros and cons before making electoral decisions,” Kakroo stated, drawing parallels with the National Conference’s choice not to field candidates in Jammu to support Congress. He highlighted the importance of understanding the dynamics of each region and making calculated decisions to maximize impact.

Kakroo further elaborated on why he believes the BJP is a better choice for the people of Jammu and Kashmir compared to the “family-led parties” that have dominated the region’s politics for decades. He criticized these parties for perpetuating dynastic rule and failing to deliver on promises of development and progress.

“The BJP is committed to good governance, transparency, and inclusive development,” Kakroo asserted. He highlighted the party’s focus on infrastructure projects, economic growth, and social welfare schemes as evidence of their dedication to improving the lives of the people in Jammu and Kashmir.
