Security Forces bust militant hideout in Kupwara; arms, amo recovered
Kupwara, January 15, 2021: A joint team of security forces Friday unearthed a hideout at Kawari woods in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered a war-like store.
Defence sources told the news agency—Kashmir news observer (KNO), that a search operation was launched in Kawari Warnow woods after receiving inputs. “During searches by joint teams, a hideout was unearthed by the security forces”, they said.
They said a war like store includes 4- AK-47 Magazines with 15 rounds, a hand grenade and a Telescope besides Map and a cutter were recovered.
They also said that the joint operation was carried out by Jammu and Kashmir police, Army’s 28 RR, and 163 BN Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Recoveries have been made and further course of the investigation and more related is being done, defence sources said. A senior police officer also confirmed the recovery of arms and ammunition—(KNO)
