S.V.S College celebrates 71st Republic Day

Rajouri, January 26, 2021:The S.V.S Degree College for women Rajouri celebrated 71st Republic Day. At the college, the flag hoisting was done by BJP J&K general secretary Vibodh Gupta (Chief Guest), senior Congress leader Ashok Sharma (Guest of Honour) along with the college Principal Shamshed Ahmed. They were joined by Surinder Bakshi, Ashwani Sharma and Raja Ram in celebrating the Republic Day function.

This was followed by the address of the Chief guest Vibodh Gupta wherein he congratulated the students on the occasion and asserted that with the each passing day, the democracy in the country is getting more vibrant. He shared his experiences of college life and exhorted the young generation to reveal their real power and urged them to lead their nation to new heights. He regarded youth as the future of the Indian Republic.

Vibodh further spoke on various great personalities whose struggle enforced our Constitution and also remembered all the brave men who have protected the Indian Republic with their valour. He said,”This is a day to celebrate our nation’s sovereignty & spirit of being Indian.”
