Road safety awareness programmes held in Awantipora
Awantipora, February 16, 2021: Police in Awantipora held road safety awareness programmes at Awantipora and Pampore during an ongoing “National Road Safety Month”.
Road safety awareness programmes were held to sensitize general public and road users about road safety measures in which SHO PS Awantipora and SHO PS Pampore participated.
In Awantipora, road safety awareness programme was held on National Highway near Barsoo Crossing in which SHO PS Awantipora interacted with the drivers travelling on the highway and sensitize them about the basic traffic road safety tips.
Similarly in Pampore, road safety awareness programme was held at Gallander Crossing in which SHO PS Pampore interacted with the drivers travelling on the highway and sensitize them about the basic traffic road safety tips.
Both the SHOs distributed stickers depicting traffic safety measures among the drivers travelling on National Highway.
Pertinently, “National Road Safety Month” is being observed across the country from 18th of January to 17th of February 2021.
