Ritika gets appreciation from Dr Sandhya Purecha during W-20 public outreach program at Hari Niwas Palace

Jammu, January 10, 2023: BJP Mahila Morcha J&K UT Chief Spokesperson Ritika Trehan  gets special appreciation for her social works during public outreach program addressed by Dr Sandhya Purecha, Chair W20 at Hari Niwas Palace and participated by over 200 women from rural Jammu which included SHGs, rural entrepreneurs and Sarpanchs. The outreach program was organized by Ritu Singh, founding chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL and was supported by The Ashok Kapur Foundation

Speaking on the occasion, Ritika terming herself big admirer of PM Modi said that the word women empowerment has gained momentum only after 2014 when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India. None of the govt in the past put so much weight behind the women empowerment as has been done under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Look at the schemes which had been specially framed keeping in view the welfare & empowerment of women. She said Beti Bachao Beti Parhao which has considerably improved sex ratio in the country. Now baby girl is more welcomed than baby boy in Indian homes. Then we have Mudra Yojna Scheme, Ujjawala Scheme, Balika Samriddhi Yojna & many more all women oriented schemes making great  impact on lives of women folk, added Ritika.

Ritika claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister not only country has achieved many milestones, women empowerment has also been given top priority by the government. Adding another figure in this impressive journey now PM Modi’s govt has given great significance to W20 which is a historical initiative aiming to instill energy of becoming self reliant & self empowered among women folk in the country. All these initiatives have impacted the country’s thinking that women are at par with their male counterparts in almost all the fields. She further said that being big admirer of PM Modi, she has been forced to do her little bit for her sisters & mothers.

Highlighting her  inspiring journey of social work which started way back in 2005 & the same has been going on even with more vigour & energy, she said in her individual capacity with the blessings of almighty she has been quite successful in training young girls & needy women by managing suitable training as per their caliber to enable them to earn their dignified life. Among them today some are makeup artists, fashion experts,hair experts, beauty experts, waitresses &  are further training others to make them self reliant.She expressed gratitude to  Chairperson W-20  Dr Sandhaya for sparing her valuable time & most importantly braving this nail biting cold coming here to appreciate & encourage women folk in J&K.On the occasion, ten needy women from different parts of Jammu were trained by Ritika Trehan & were given diplomas and another five women who were also trained by Ritika from rural Jammu were also given diplomas for completion of Beauty, Makeup and Hair courses undertaken by them under project ‘Asha’ by FICCI FLO JKL and Ritika Trehan’s ‘Looks Salon’
