Restore 4G speed internet in J&K : Saroori

Congratulates the fellow country men on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day

KISHTWAR, January 26, 2021: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, Vice President and Former Minister J&K, G. M Saroori Monday demanded restoration of 4G speed mobile internet on the eve of Republic Day celebrations.

“The people of J&K should be given gift by the Government of India by restoring the high speed mobile internet. The Lt Government Manoj Sinha who heads administration in J&K should make the announcement on the day when entire nation would be celebrating the Republic Day,” said Saroori hoping the people will not be deprived of 4G internet speed.

Saroori said that the ban on high speed internet has taken J&K 30 years back as the economic activities, tourism and studies of the students have been affected adversely.

The situation has shown improvement from last one year and the militancy has also declined,” Saroori said praising the security forces for their contribution in establishment peaceful atmosphere. Continuing the ban on 4G has snatched the basic right of the people which is being enjoyed by rest of the county,” he added.

Saroori said that permitting high speed internet to J&K should not be treated as special package, but it’s a constitutional right for the people of the erstwhile state.

“This Republic Day, the Lt Government should end the restriction keeping in view the larger interest of the people and J&K. Not only did the studies of the students have affected, but all the sectors have equal affect on the growth of J&K,” he added.

The Former Minister congratulated the fellow country men on the occasion of Republic Day and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
