Reservoir Flushing at Chutak Barrage on 3rd July, 2021 from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM: General Manager (CPS)
Public residing nearby downstream of barrage intimated not to go near river side under any circumstances during flushing period
KARGIL, JULY 01, 2021: According to the General Manager (CPS), Chutak Power Station, NHPC Limited Kargil, Silt Flushing at Chutak Barrage shall be carried out on 3rd July, 2021 from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Water level in the river downstream of Chutak Barrage would rise above the existing levels due to the release of water, the General Manager (CPS) has stated.
In this connection, all the public residing nearby downstream of barrage have been intimated not to go near the river side under any circumstances during the flushing period.
The General Manager (CPS) has further said that Chutak Power Station, NHPC shall also be making public announcement in this regard. He has further stated that there shall be no power supply from Chutak Power Station during the period of flushing.
