RDD Ladakh organizes awareness programme on Swacch Bharat Mission (Grameen) Phase II, importance of solid, plastic waste management
KARGIL, JUNE 13, 2021: Rural Development Department (RDD), Ladakh organized an awareness programme on solid and plastic waste management at Panchyat Halqa Shilikchey here today.
Director RDD and Panchayati Raj Ladakh Tahir Hussain Zubdavi, District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Kargil Padma Angmo, other officers and officials of RDD, PRI members and the local villagers were present on the occasion.
During the course of the awareness programme, speakers including the Director RDD Ladakh and DPO Kargil enlightened the villagers about Swacch Bharat Mission (Grameen) Phase II and the importance of solid waste management for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene for healthy living.
The Diretor RDD and DPO Kargil urged the villagers to play proactive role in coordinating with the Rural Development Department in the smooth and successful implementation of various government schemes on ground for benefit of the rural population.
They also sought cooperation from the villagers for successful implementation of the solid waste management initiatives in Kargil Block.
