Rahul Gandhi shouldn’t play with India’s pride and prestige: Ritika Trehan

Jammu, January 23, 2023: Slamming Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who had accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of hate-mongering in the country, BJP Mahila Morcha J&K Chief Spokesperson Ritika Trehan on Monday said Congress should not play with India’s pride and prestige. She slammed Congress recalling how the grand old party government stopped BJP’s yatras during the 1990s.”We had seen that era when bloodshed was going on in the name of J&K and terrorism was at its peak in the 1990s.

BJP took out a yatra at that time. It was this party and its leaders who opposed it then. They had attempted to stop it,” Ritika  said.She added, in 2011, when Tiranga Yatra was taken out, 3 of our senior leaders – Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Ananth Kumar were arrested at the airport in Jammu and sent to Pathankot. How can we forget that? She recalled. “Now, when PM Modi did whatever they couldn’t – abrogation of Art 370, J&K becoming a part of the mainstream, they are expressing their love. The reality is that their politics thrived from separatism. Wherever Bharat Jodo Yatra passed from, ‘Congress Todo’ occurred there,” Ritika  said.

Ritika further said that those who see today’s strong India as broken, you can guess their mental attitude and stand, with what thinking and with which ideology they are moving forward. Firing volley of questions at Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, she asked who had separated Jammu and Kashmir from the country with Article 370, because of Congress, more than half of our Jammu and Kashmir state is under the occupation of Pakistan and China. If you are brave  and really want to unite India, then unite PoK, Aksai Chin and Gilgit-Baltistan with India and only then your journey will be worth to be Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Ritika asked Congress during whose reign Kashmiri Pandits were killed and driven away, Sikhs were killed in Punjab. She said those who incited riots in the name of casteism and Hindu-Muslim, who broke the country are now taking out Bharat Jodo Yatra.  Ritika advised Rahul Gandhi to first integrate his party rather than wasting time on Bharat Jodo Yatra which is strongly integrated under PM Modi led BJP Govt. India has never been as organized and strong as it is under reign of Narendra Modi ji, neither internally nor internationally. Today’s strong India is Vishwaguru, added Ritika.

Ritika attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra, and alleged that the opposition party can only break the country and not unite it. “I wonder if Congress has embarked on Bharat Jodo Yatra or Bharat Todo Yatra. Their leaders are saying unite India. But what do they do in real life? Their leader Rahul Gandhi went to JNU in Delhi and supported those who shout slogans in favour of Afzal Guru, the mastermind behind the Parliament attack,” Ritika said.

Ritika claimed BJP worked on “mission” mode for development, while other parties worked for commission. Hailing the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the coronavirus pandemic, Ritika  said India was able to develop two vaccines in just nine months and secured the entire population against the pandemic.”We even sent vaccines to nearly 100 countries, including 38 countries free of cost. Now, India has become a country of givers and not takers,” said Ritika.
