Puneet Mahajan raises the issue of CSCs with CEO Ayushman Bharat, Sanjiv M Gadkar
Jammu, November 24, 2023: BJP Health and Medical Cell Convener Jammu & Kashmir Puneet Mahajan met Chief Executive Officer –Ayushman Bharat- J&K Sanjiv M Gadkar IAS, at his office and raised some issues pertaining to issuance of Golden Cards through CSCs for taking the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme
He appreciated the role of CSCs in implementing the scheme by processing and issuing Golden Cards even in remote and far flung area of the UT and even during Covid-19 period who worked tirelessly day & night for the saturation of the scheme Ayushman Bharat in this UT. Due to their nonstop efforts nearly 90% of the eligible population has already been covered and 10% remaining to be covered. The role of CSCs in penetrating the scheme in every nook and corner of the UT was highlighted.
He explained that since long suddenly, the Ayushman Bharat Service of CSCs has been stopped due to one reason or the other reason which is causing problem to the people specially Senior Citizens who are still to be registered in this scheme. No doubt the facility of registration exists in the Government hospitals, but they are already overburdened and can hardly meet this job. It is very much in the interest of the scheme as well as the remaining uncovered people to make the Ayushman Bharat Service of CSCs functional again as early as possible.
The CEO observed that the department is making every possible effort to get cent percent registration of the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir and also appealed all the team members to make people aware about the scheme so that everyone could be registered in J&K for this scheme and assured the convener of due consideration of the genuine issues projected during the interaction.
The CEO praised Puneet Mahajan and his team to continue his endeavors for promoting public welfare on health fronts.
