Priya Sethi inaugurates ‘Wedding & Festive Carnival’, asks women to become Atmanirbhar
JAMMU, October 08, 2021: Former minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Priya Sethi along with Sanjita Dogra, President BJP Mahila Wing, Jammu and Kashmir, inaugurated the ‘Wedding and Festive Carnival’ organized by Divya Abrol here today.
After taking a round of the exhibition at the carnival, Priya Sethi appreciated Divya Abrol for the strenuous efforts put in by her in organizing such a useful and inspiring event in the City of Temples.
While lauding Divya for marvelously managing her skills to maintain balance between the personal and professional lifestyles, Priya Sethi said that today’s women are not lagging behind men in any field and it would not be wrong to state that women have excelled better than their male counterparts in many sectors.
The senior BJP leader said that today’s women play a significant role in supporting financial position of their families as majority of them are working women, either as employees or as entrepreneurs in different fields. Even the defence forces have not remained the exclusive domain of males with the entry of females in these defence services, she asserted.
Briefing about the collection displayed and available at the carnival, she said that due to meticulous planning and tireless efforts of Divya, the people of Jammu will now get an opportunity to purchase all the wedding related material under one roof here. She said that females across the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory must take Divya as their inspiration and role model and follow the suit to make them Atmanirbhar.
Sanjita Dogra appreciated the efforts made by Divya Abrol in organizing the carnival. She said that this carnival will provide ample opportunities to the youth of Jammu to highlight their rich culture.
While lauding the Modi led Union Govt for focusing on Women Empowerment, Sanjita Dogra appealed to the women of Jammu and Kashmir to come forward and avail the benefits of multiple schemes launched by the Central government especially for the women.
Divya Abrol in her brief address thanked Priya Sethi for sparing her valuable time for the Carnival. She highlighted how she grabbed the opportunity of becoming a job provider instead of a job seeker that ultimately resulted in her becoming self dependent besides economic boost.
Among others who accompanied the former minister include Geetanjali Mahajan, Neena Gupta, Suman Raina, Anita Gandotara, Urvashi Gupta, Neha Mahajan and Poonam Gupta.
