In a brief memorandum addressed to Govt. of India the striking youth stated that a notification for joint recruitment of 1142 candidates in CISF and BSF was issued in the year 2018. Besides, educated and physically fit youth filled up the necessary forms and documents within stipulated period. The memorandum also conveyed to the President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind that physical test of all the candidates was conducted and medical test was also done through a team of doctors of BSF from 01.12.2020 to 15.12.2020.
That applications found all candidates physically fit as well as medically.
The BSF selected some of the chosen candidates from the persons found physically and medically fit. Shockingly, many who were selected, found fit medically and physically and cleared all the tests were ignored and have not been taken into service for no reason. The striking youth on the naked grassy floor in front of BJP Office have been asking for justice, equity and the application of rule of law in Jammu and Kashmir for all those left out candidates from J&K and Ladakh. The Ladakhi boys are protesting in Leh as they could not reach Jammu because of weather conditions and disruption in transportation.
Prof.Bhim Singh was accompanied by Ms. Anita Thakur (General Secretary-JKNPP), P.K. Ganju (Sr. Vice-President-JKNPP), Pushkin Antal (State Secretary), NPSU, Labour Union General Secretary Neeraj Dewan and others.
Prof.Bhim Singh made a strong appeal to the President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind who was once a senior colleague with Bhim Singh in the Supreme Court. Prof.Bhim Singh urged the President to send a special team of department concern to Jammu to save hundreds of BSF & CISF selected candidates sitting on the grassy road for 48 days without even a floor mat. He assured the striking youth that the Panthers Party knows the art of fighting for justice and equity from the streets of J&K to the seat of Supreme Court of India.
