No merger of AJKPC with any political party: Anil Sharma

‘AJKPC to continue its activities as usual: Sharma’

Jammu, November 13, 2020: Resting the misleading and disinformation campaign that All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat have been merged with J & K Apni Party, Anil Sharma, President of AJKPC today in a specially called press conference made it clear that AJKPC continue to its pursuit and activities and there is no question of merging the PRIs body in any Political Party.

Sharma informed the media persons that Sh. Shafiq Mir have joined the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party in his Individual capacity but All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference as an organization have nothing to his joining and there is no question of merging the decade old representative body of elected Panches and Sarpanches.

The AJKPC President also said that AJKPC is a legally registered body having its own Constitution and Charter and All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference also owns trademark rights over the title and no person is allowed to infringe the legal right of their organization and whosoever found indulge in violation of this right might have to face legal consequences including civil suit and criminal prosecution.
Sharma also said that it is unfortunate that Sh Altaf Bukhari, the Chief of the J&K Apni Party was misled and misinformed by Sh. Shafiq Mir who without any authority had claimed about merging of the AJKPC in Apni Party.
The AJKPC president said, “Having highest regards for senior political leader Altaf Bukhari, I request him to be careful from individuals who misrepresent facts for petty gains”.
Anil Sharma also made it clear that Sh. Shafiq Mir has no right whatsoever to use the name and title of the AJKPC and as on date Anil Sharma is the only bonafide and legally elected president of the All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC). Sharma also hinted for taking legal action against anyone found indulged in using title of their organization without prior permission and authorization.
He also said AJKPC is an organization of elected Panchayt representatives having people from all political ideologies but AJKPC as an organization is not associated with any political party, he also added that Sh. Shafiq Mir have no relationship directly or indirectly with All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference therefore Sh. Shafiq Mir is advised not to use the name and title of their organization henceforth.
Sharma also informed that their organization is actively participating in the ongoing DDC constituency elections and are sure this would strengthen the grass root level democracy.
